Did you know...

The coveted 'Michelin Stars' that chefs strive for today was born of a marketing idea to sell more tyres?

With less than 3000 cars on the road in 1900, brothers Édouard and André had an idea to increase the demand for cars, and accordingly car tires, and car tire manufacturers.

The brothers published a guide for French motorists, the Michelin Guide.

Nearly 35,000 copies of this first, free edition of the guide were distributed; providing helpful information to motorists, such as maps, tyre repair and replacement instructions, car mechanics listings, hotels, and petrol stations throughout France.

The rest is history, today over 100 years later we all know this brand. What and idea, & what a monumental impact it has had!
